How Did I Start Joining Online Contests and Giveaways?

I started joining online contests and giveaways February of last year when I came across Animetric's World Facebook page and gave her Anlene giveaway a try. I don't know why I joined, maybe out of curiosity. Fortunate enough, I've won in her giveaway.  I've got 2 boxes of Anlene as my prize.  I get hooked on it. The rest was history as they say.

The fun part of it is that you get to win everything for free (sometimes the winner needs to shoulder the shipping fee though)... from food, cosmetics, beauty products, bags, shoes, clothes, movie tickets, gift certificates. Online contests and giveaways vary from the simplest mechanics to the complicated ones. Twice or thrice I have tried joining voting/liking contests but this is one thing that I try to avoid because I find it hard to get votes/likes especially if you are new to this kind of thing and your online friends are not into it. I have a confession to make. Would you believe that I am forced to do a self-study of blogger and tumblr because most of online contests and giveaways require a blogger and tumblr account? Yay, I'm not an expert though, knowing just the basics would be fine.

And now after almost a year of joining online contests and giveaways, I don't know why I suddenly had this urge of giving blogging a shot. Maybe because I've been a frustrated writer before way back in high school that I wanted to try writing in our school newspaper but I didn't have the guts to give it a try.  I've been too focused on my academics.

No, I am definitely not going to quit joining online contests and giveaways but I want to broaden my horizons more through blogging. I don't know what lies ahead in my blogging career. Shoot, I need to refresh my mind about correct grammar, spelling and sentence formation now.
